Lake Liddell Reserve is located approximately fifteen kilometres south of Muswellbrook and is just off the New England Highway. It’s a fantastic place to go boating and fishing or just for a day out.
The well appointed reserve features plenty of parking and some great picnic barbecue areas along the shore and not too far from the car, also featuring wheelchair access. These spots have great views and offer a chance to see wildlife up close including the birds of the sanctuary.
Throw in a line around the lake for your chance to catch one of the well stocked Australian Bass, or bring your boat and make a day of it on the lake. There is a boat ramp available and no boating restrictions.
Bring a racquet and all your sporting gear because the area also features an oval and a tennis court.
Dogs are allowed and holiday makers will be pleased to know that the area is suitable for caravans or camping, with powered sites and unpowered sites available. When planning your trip be aware that the park does have an opening and closing time that is enforced and overnight stays incur a fee, however the beautiful locale and scenery make the lake a great place to do so.
Come and experience a relaxing lakeside sunset at Lake Liddell.
