There’s plenty of stuff to do for kids in the Hunter Valley that may not be apparent at first glance. For a start, there’s a wide range of great family accommodation, and many of the best restaurants around have great kids menus. But whether you’re looking to break up the day or entertain the family, there’s plenty to see and do.
First of all, there are some fantastic gardens that the kids will absolutely love to explore, the best ones are the Peace Park in Chinaman’s Hollow and the Werakata National Park picnic areas. These locations are a great place for a family outing where the kids can explore, but the pick of the lot would have to be the Hunter Valley Gardens which feature a diverse range of displays each school holidays. They’re designed to capture the imaginations of kids with things like reptile displays, circus workshops and themed shows such as Ice Age 4 and Despicable Me 2.
And wait, there’s more! Get your hands on some awesome rural ice cream in a beautiful rural location or have a round of putt putt golf at the Aqua Golf Centre. A stroll to the fantastic ‘storybook gardens’ will make for a fantastic day out.
You may be interested in heading to Go-Karts-Go! for some go karting action or maybe the little ones would be more interested in a relaxing horse ride through the beautiful countryside or a fun Segway tour.
Whatever the flavour, there’s plenty for the family to do in the Hunter Valley!
